Warehouse Software Suite™: Pick Manager

Pick Manager is part of the FKI Logistex Warehouse Software Suite™ (WSS), a full- featured, scalable warehouse control system (WCS). Pick Manager coordinates order fulfillment activities using FKI Logistex Trak3™ pick-to-light, as well as paper, manual carousel and radio-frequency (RF) picking operations.

Pick-to-light provides a paperless picking technology that can be used to increase productivity and order accuracy. Pick Manager is designed to help drive these increases in full- and split-case operations by taking advantage of its built-in features. Multiple picking methods such as cross-aisle, bi-directional, pick-and-pass, parallel and dynamic batch picking are included. The software provides flexible order management and processing tools for wave, batch, required date, FIFO, shorted and hot order processing.

Pick Manager integrates FKI Logistex Trak3 pick-to-light hardware with easy to use planning, execution and monitoring software tools. With built-in features for wave picking, pick-and-pass and productivity management, WSS allows customers to add essential pick-to-light capability that maximizes productivity, speed and accuracy. The Trak3 “cable-less” system offers a wide range of pick-to-light devices with bright multi-color LEDs, vibrant displays, and ergonomic buttons. Trak3 compact devices can be used for densely spaced pick locations or applied to handle multiple locations with one device.

Pick Manager is an ideal choice for order fulfillment when material handling equipment integration is needed; or when combined with other WSS features to integrate activities such as replenishment, cycle counting, quality assurance, consolidation, packing or shipping.
