Mobile Information Module™

The FKI Logistex Mobile Information Module™ represents the latest in system monitoring technology. This tool allows full mobile communication with the wide array of controls solutions from FKI Logistex, including the PC-based BOSS™ control system, PLC-controlled systems and EASYpick® Pick-to-Light order fulfillment solutions. This is a beneficial tool that helps management and maintenance monitor system and equipment performance.

The Mobile Information Module utilizes the available wireless network to allow mobile computing units to actively communicate with the main system controller. Information and controls data are generated and stored in the main controller. This data is presented through an OPC interface to a .NET web service, allowing mobile computing devices to access and present this data in a Windows® format for easy interpretation.

The Mobile Information Module can monitor and present data that is used to determine overall system performance. This includes individual conveyor lane information, sorter status and current and past carton cycle rates. This device also has the capability to monitor data down to the individual I/O point. When used with EASYpick, work status of the picking wave, carton content and device maintenance tools are also available.

The Mobile Information Module allows management and maintenance personnel to monitor a system from remote locations in a facility, providing easy access to information that would otherwise only be available on stationary monitoring screens.
