Lower level of multi-level sorter Horizontal layout with crossover stairway

The Compact Cross-Belt Sorter is the ideal material handling solution for sorting small, fragile or delicate items with any type of surface friction. Providing gentle sorting at a rate of 12,000 items per hour (utilizing a 415 mm (16.38 in) cell pitch), the Compact Sorter is flexible enough for even the most constrained installations with floor, ceiling or wall mounting options. The unique carrier design also allows for transport of items horizontally, vertically or over and under.

The cross-belts are powered by an Inductive Energy Transfer System that provides long-lasting performance while minimizing operating costs with its non-mechanical contact design and few moving parts. Data transfer to and from each cross-belt is accomplished via an infrared communication system, ensuring accurate sorting and tracking.

With more than 800 high speed sortation systems installed worldwide, FKI Logistex is the sortation expert catering to all types of high-speed distribution requirements. CCS sortation systems are used within a broad spectrum of applications within distribution, postal, courier and manufacturing.

Features
Available in either horizontal layout configuration or true over/under (multi-level sorting).
Compact design extruded aluminum bed section.
Power supplied by a unique non-contact inductive power transfer system.
Open standard industrial network control design and standard I/O hardware ensure system upgradeability over the life of the system.

Benefits
Carriers accelerate to match induction belt speed resulting in more positive handling items being sorted
Sort discharge can be optimized to a specific product rather than averaged across a range of product.
Discharge from a carrier is more accurate allowing for closer chute centers or selective positioning of sorted items within a chute.
Modular frame and cart design to reduce the amount of time required for commissioning.
