Warehouse Software Suite™: Route Manager™

Route Manager™ is part of the FKI Logistex Warehouse Software Suite™ (WSS), a full- featured, scalable warehouse control system (WCS). Using high-level WMS/ERP systems delivery requirements, Route Manager directs material handling equipment to manage and optimize the flow of conveyed product within a system.

Designed to manage flow based on user-defined business rules, Route Manager can be applied to a range of operations including manufacturing, regional distribution, local distribution and direct-to-consumer facilities. Standard routing rules are built-in to support zone routing, weight checking, order consolidation, store labels and more.

Route Manager increases system performance, reliability and deterministic control by allowing divert directives and management to be executed independent of the host system.

Equipped with a simple user interface that conveniently presents options, Route Manager eliminates user errors and enhances user productivity. Also included are screens that allow manual adjustment of carton routing information to manage unexpected system conditions.

Route Manager applications include zone routing, batching / wave systems, lot buffering, conveyor lane balancing, permanent license plates, label to location transformations, scanner to scanner routing, high-speed line sortation, and more. The flexibility provided by the Warehouse Software Suite products allows Route Manager to solve applications such as reverse truck stop loading and order consolidation when implemented as part of a suite solution.
