FKI Logistex offers a customer self-service unit for parcel delivery customers called Parcel Mate™, a small, automatic parcel service center installed in a wall or counter. Parcel Mate helps customers sending and receiving parcels during off-hours and holidays, and provides access to your delivery counters for rural parcel customers.
Parcel Mate installations require a relatively small footprint. Whether it is installed in your center’s entrance hall, at a shopping center, or in some other facility, Parcel Mate allows parcels to be sent or received at any time of the day or night.
When a customer wants to send a parcel, Parcel Mate weighs each item using a digital scale and calculates the delivery fee. Customers can also ask Parcel Mate to print a label bearing the address and a special ID code. After payment in cash or by credit card, the machine issues a receipt and receives the item. The average transaction takes less than one minute from start to finish.
Parcel Mate also makes life easier for parcel recipients and your staff. Drivers no longer have to spend time taking deliveries to empty homes. Recipients can be notified via a simple e-mail or phone message; then, at their convenience, they can visit the machine. Once the recipient enters a PIN code or some other form of identification, Parcel Mate will extract the appropriate item from its storage system.
Using this delivery mode, Parcel Mate considerably reduces costs versus driving to individual addressees.
