FKI Logistex pallet carousels are used to handle pallets for building mixed pallet loads, picking, and buffering. Pallet carousels employ bottom-drive motion to move pallets horizontally along a circular path, eliminating the need for wide pallet aisles while still retaining fork truck accessibility.
FKI Logistex pallet carousels are heavy-duty systems that can handle 2,500-pound pallets at each position. When used in conjunction with a robotic gantry device, fully automated mixed pallet layer picking or rainbow loads can be accomplished, yielding high-throughput, hands-free productivity.
In this type of system, FKI Logistex multi-position pallet carousels are used to buffer and position full or partial pallets of product for the gantry depalletizer/palletizer. Order management software directs the carousels and the gantry to coordinate the entire pallet-building process.
FKI Logistex pallet carousels have small footprints, making them ideal for high-density storage. Pallet carousels enable efficient picking, allowing a high volume of SKUs to be picked within a small gantry work envelope.
