High Speed Skew

The FKI Logistex High Speed Skew is engineered for critical applications which require high conveying speed and reliability. Narrow, flat belt-driven rollers mounted at a fixed angle within the conveyor frame align product to one side of the conveyor providing a quiet, easy to maintain operation.
The driving flat belt of the High Speed Skew is mounted below and perpendicular to the rollers, and is offset to ensure that all products conveyed on the skew, regardless of width, will be aligned to one side of the conveyor.
Each High Speed Skew is designed to move the product to one side only. When looking in the direction of product travel, a right hand skew will move product to the right side of the conveyor and a left hand skew will move product to the left side. Skew direction cannot be reversed or altered to provide an opposite hand unit.

Frame: 254 mm (10 in) x 32 mm (1 ¼ in) x 10ga formed steel channel with 12ga formed channel crossmembers. The crossmembers are located by a tab and slot method and bolted into position. A sub-frame is mounted to the top of the crossmembers. This sub-frame carries the belt drive components. The ends of the frame are enclosed by a 10ga steel crossmember which also provides the fill plate mounting system for the shortened end rollers.
Rollers: G196AB, galvanized 16ga tube rollers with 11 mm (7/16 in) hex axles and “ABEC” bearings. Axle locks provided to prevent frame wear and noise.
Drive Unit: Center drive unit is mounted to sub-frame and extends below the conveyor. Two 203 mm (8 in) diameter drive pulleys are mounted on a common drive shaft. The drive shaft is driven with a timing belt arrangement. Motor and right angle gear reducer are mounted on a sliding frame providing easy adjustment of timing belt tension. Two spring loaded rotary take-ups are provided for tensioning the roller drive belts.
Power Unit: 1.5kW (2 HP) TEFC C-face motor/reducer units for fixed speeds of 1.8 m/sec, 2 m/sec and 2.3 m/sec (350, 400 and 450 ftp/min); 2kW (3 HP) TEFC C-face motor/reducer units for fixed speeds of 2.5 m/sec, 2.8 m/sec, 3 m/sec and 3.3 m/sec (500, 550, 600 and 650 ft/min). Variable speed controllers can be provided.
Drive Guarding: Guarding encloses both the Center Drive Unit and the Power Unit. Clear removable panels allow for easy inspection and maintenance of the drive system.
Length/Width: 4.6 m (15 ft) length, 559 mm (22 in) width; 5.6 m (18.5 ft) length 711 mm (28 in) width; 6.7 m (22 ft) length 864 mm (34 in) width.
Spare Parts: Spare parts kits can be customized for your installation.
Service: Maintenance service programs available from Customer Service & Support (CSS), our multi-faceted program that provides service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure optimum operation of your system.
