Bumpless Case Turner

The patent pending FKI Logistex bumpless case turner is a device that selectively rotates articles without impact or contact to their front or sides. The turner is designed to accept a stream of articles with a minimum gap between them, and rotate only those that are programmed to be turned. The device can accept any combination of turned and non-turned articles and can turn them through angles up to and through 360 degrees. The typical application is to turn selected articles 90 degrees to facilitate the formation of a pallet pattern.

Features
True, non-contact article orienting device requiring no contact to either the sides or top of the product to be turned
Employs a simple, parallel V-belt driven live roller design with a single-motor drive
Custom high-speed pneumatic actuators allow for higher throughput and gaps between cases as small as 110 mm (4.5 in)
Optional Auto Correct allows the turner to automatically compensate for changing conditions such as variances in friction and humidity, or long-term wear of mechanical components, while maintaining consistent turns
Benefits
No mechanical set up required on product changeovers. Simple user inputs make fine tuning the settings for each product easy for operators
High throughput rates of over 200 cases per minute are possible
Capable of orienting products in 90-degree increments up to 360-degrees, either clockwise or counter-clockwise
Maintenance on pneumatic components and standard sensors is simple when compared to competitors servo drive options
